5 years agoWashington Redskins running back Derrius Guice erupted for 129 yards and two touchdowns on just 10 carries in Sunday's win over the Panthers, marking by far the best performance of his young career. There was promise coming into the matchup against a porous Panthers run defense, with the downside being that Guice might continue to suffer from the even backfield split he's been sharing with Adrian Peterson. As it turns out, neither Guice nor Peterson were held back by limited touches, combining for 228 yards and three touchdowns between the two of them. Whether Guice earned himself a larger share of the opportunity going forward remains to be seen, but it's hard to ignore what he's capable of at this point. He should be firmly entrenched in the fantasy conversation for the remainder of 2019.--Chris O'Reilly
