Derrius Guice Has MCL Sprain
5 years agoWashington running back Derrius Guice was diagnosed with a sprained MCL on Monday. Guice left early in his team's Week 14 loss to the Green Bay Packers after injuring his knee. The second-year running back has dealt with a litany of knee injuries in his short career, most notably a 2018 torn ACL which ended his rookie season. While it is good news that it wasn't Guice's ACL again, this is still yet another setback for the promising running back. There is a strong chance that Washington shuts him down for the final three games of the season as they will be cautious with the situation. Look for Adrian Peterson to handle the early-down work while Chris Thompson will see passing-down duties going forward.
