Derrius Guice Produces Pedestrian Numbers On Limited Work
5 years agoWashington Redskins running back Derrius Guice continues to be eased into the offense, accounting for 11 touches and 38 total yards in Sunday's win over Detroit. He and Adrian Peterson appear set to continue cutting into each other's workloads, meaning touchdowns and big plays will likely be necessary in order for either player to return high-end fantasy value. Guice owners should maintain optimism that the second-year back will eventually transition into a more featured role as the season nears its end, but there is no evidence to suggest that's an imminent development. Continue to treat Guice as a fringe starting option in fantasy lineups for the time being.
