Deshaun Watson Could Participate In OTAs
7 years agoHouston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson (knee) will be limited in offseason activities after suffering a torn ACL last November, but head coach Bill O'Brien thinks he could be able to participate in organized team activities. “I like where he is right now,” O’Brien said during Wednesday’s PFT Live, regarding Watson’s rehab efforts. “I don’t think that he’ll be able to do much on the field in the beginning of the offseason program. He’ll be working with the trainers on the field, but not with us. . . . I think by the time OTAs roll around he may be able to do a few things with the team." Barring any setbacks, Watson should be full go by the time training camp rolls around in the summer, and he will have plenty of fantasy upside after what he showed in his rookie season before his injury. Watson surely has QB1 appeal and can make plays happen with his legs, just make sure not to overspend on him.
