3 years agoHouston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson didn't practice Wednesday, per Aaron Wilson of Sports Talk 790. The official injury report lists Watson as a 'DNP' with a "not-injury-related-personal matter," per Wilson. This is directly related to the star quarterback's legal situation and trade request, which will likely lead to listings such as this one each week ahead of the Texans' contests. General manager Nick Caserio had said earlier that he didn't expect Watson, who is on the team's 53-man roster, to play in Week 1 against the Jaguars but that the team would "recalibrate as they go"- though fantasy managers shouldn't expect him to suit up for Houston this season. Tyrod Taylor will be the starting signal-caller for the Texans, though he's just a low-end QB2, even in a potentially fantasy-friendly game script against the Jaguars suspect defense.--Tim Capurso
