2 years agoAtlanta Falcons rookie quarterback Desmond Ridder completed 14-of-21 pass attempts for 185 yards and a touchdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday afternoon. He drew the start with Marcus Mariota inactive and connected with Tyler Allgeier for a two-yard touchdown. Mariota didn't play as he has secured the starting role for Week 1 against the New Orleans Saints. While the former Las Vegas Raider will begin the year as the starter, Ridder has played well during the preseason and will take over sooner than later. However, the rookie is undraftable in single-quarterback leagues.--Mike Fanelli
