6 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Detrez Newsome was signed to the active roster from the practice squad on Saturday in order to give the team insurance in case Melvin Gordon (hamstring) is unable to play in Week 7 in London against the Titans. This move isn't a good sign for Gordon's status, but fantasy owners will know very early on Sunday whether Gordon is active. If he's not, Austin Ekeler would be a strong RB2 as the main option in the backfield. Justin Jackson would spell Ekeler.
