6 years agoThe Detroit Lions defense recorded three sacks and forced an interception in Sunday's victory over the Panthers. On paper, the Lions received a big bump because Darius Slay returned after a one week absence due to injury; however, Cam Newton still threw for 357 yards. Up front, Detroit was able to put pressure on Newton, sacking him three times, which was enough to give the Lions a chance to win. Detroit has a short week, hosting Chicago on Thanksgiving Day so it doesn't get any easier against a team that they surrendered 34 points to in Week 10.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
