Devante Parker Looks to Keep Touchdown Streak Going
5 years agoHeading into a Week 8 matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football, trade rumors continue to swirl around Miami Dolphins wide receiver Devante Parker. With Miami seemingly willing to trade anything of value, teams such as San Francisco and Green Bay have reportedly checked on what it would take to acquire the speedy fifth-year receiver who’s on a team-friendly contract through 2020. Parker has helped his own case for getting shipped out before the Oct. 29 deadline, catching touchdowns in his last three games. Averaging just under 11 points-per-game in standard leagues over that stretch, Parker was targeted 10 times in last week’s loss to the Bills and should continue to see the highest volume of looks behind teammate Preston Williams. The Steelers are allowing the 14th-fewest points to wide receivers on the season, but with Ryan Fitzpatrick under center and the Dolphins likely to spend much of the game trailing, expect Parker to see plenty of looks down the field. This makes him a solid WR4 with some upside, but also someone with the lowest of floors given how much difficulty Miami has had in moving the ball this season.
