7 years agoCarolina Panthers wide receiver Devin Funchess will be counted on to make some plays outside the numbers when the Panthers take on the Saints in the NFC Wild-Card round. Funchess has had a career year, emerging as the No. 1 receiver after the Panthers traded Kelvin Benjamin. Funchess this week will take on a Saints defense that has given up the 13th most fantasy points to receivers this season. Since Week 12, the Saints secondary has allowed five touchdowns to opposing wideouts and 80 or more receiving yards to seven different pass catchers in that span. In two games against the Saints, Funchess has found success, catching eight passes for 118 yards and one touchdown. The Panthers will lean heavily on Funchess in the red zone this Sunday, making him a WR1 for this weekend.--Joey C - RotoBaller
