3 years agoColorado Avalanche defenseman Devon Toews will be in the lineup for the first time this season in Saturday's road game against Columbus. The 27-year-old has missed the start of the campaign after having shoulder surgery during the offseason. Toews had a big year in Colorado last season with 31 points, 121 shots, 87 blocks and 44 hits in 53 appearances. He'll be on the top defensive pairing with Bowen Byram and skate on the second power-play unit. The Avalanche defense remains without Cale Makar (upper body) on Saturday, and with him on Injured Reserve, he can't return until Nov. 11.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
