7 years agoWith spring training in full swing, one of the things the fantasy community likes to obsess over now is trying to figure out lineup construction. As far as the leadoff hitter for the Toronto Blue Jays is concerned, according to manager John Gibbons, second baseman Devon Travis might be leading the pack. Travis has long enamored the fantasy baseball world with his performance when he’s on the field, but he has been equally frustrating due to the time he spends off of it. As a result of various injuries, Travis has logged a total of 151 games over the last two seasons. For those that took advantage of Travis’ limited time last year, you were rewarded when he went on a ridiculous streak of doubles, at one point sitting among the top three in all of baseball. If he can stay healthy, the expectation remains that he will produce as a very fantasy-relevant second baseman. The problem is, staying healthy probably isn’t going to happen.--John Smith
