6 years agoToronto Blue Jays infielder Devon Travis was off to a surprisingly productive start upon his recall to the Major Leagues recently, but for now, that came to an end. On Wednesday against the Boston Red Sox, Travis finished 0-for-4 with a strikeout. The effort ends a five-game hitting streak for Travis that saw him pick up one home run, one triple, one double, two runs scored, and three RBI. Nobody is expecting big things out of Travis at this point, but in the past his hot streaks have been of epic proportions where he was a must-start in all leagues. We wouldn’t bet on one of those being around the corner, but Travis is always worth monitoring just in case.--John Smith
