Devonta Freeman Returns As Limited Practice Member Thursday
4 years agoNew York Giants running back Devonta Freeman (ankle) got back into the swing of practice Thursday with limited participation, a positive sign for his potential of playing Sunday against Washington. Freeman's absence last week paved the way for Wayne Gallman to take over primary duties out of the backfield, a role that he would reprise in the case of Freeman continuing to log practice time over the coming days. Washington's defense has been stingy against the run this year, making Freeman a risky RB2 option in season-long formats in the case that he does get the green light to suit up. Check back throughout the week to get updates on the status of Freeman's ankle injury.
