3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles rookie wide receiver DeVonta Smith made only one catch in a Week 8 blowout win over the Detroit Lions. Smith's one catch came on three targets, and he gained just 15 yards. In a game where the Eagles did not need their passing game at all (quarterback Jalen Hurts completed just nine passes), Smith and the rest of the Eagles receivers basically played as blockers for the running game. The rookie has been one of the focal points in the Eagles offense, but he's just not seeing enough consistent targets to be a consistent fantasy asset.
