DeVonta Smith Fails To Catch A Pass In Victory
2 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith failed to catch any of his four targets in a victory over the Detroit Lions. The second-year receiver tied for the second-most targets on the team. It is likely the new normal for the deep-threat, as fantasy managers will have to roll the dice on putting him in their lineups as a boom or bust flex option when Smith has a favorable matchup. The Eagles ran the ball 39 times and passed the ball 32 times. They are still a run-first offense, and with A.J. Brown now absorbing the majority of targets, it makes Smith a volatile flex option for fantasy purposes. The former first-round pick has a favorable matchup with Minnesota next week and will be an upside flex option with a low-scoring floor.
