He received the team's first three carries, suggesting the 29-year-old is next in line the running back depth chart if star RB Saquon Barkley were to miss any games. Corey Clement followed Booker and rushed five times for 32 yards but lost a crucial fumble inside the Jets five-yard line. Clement had outplayed Booker in training camp and was carving out a role in the Giants offense. The former Philadelphia Eagle is competing with Alfred Morris for a spot on the running back depth chart. Booker signed a two-year deal worth $5.5 million with New York during the offseason.
