Devontae Booker, Sterling Shepard Absent In Monday's Practice
3 years agoNew York Giants running back Devontae Booker (hip) and Sterling Shepard (quad) did not participate in Monday's practice. Booker was absent due to a personal matter while Shepard worked on the side with the trainers. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the situation, but both players will have an extra day to practice during the week with the Giants' playing on Monday. Booker injured his hip late in the Week 9 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in the fourth quarter. The 29-year-old said his hip feels excellent and is expected to play Monday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but his role in the offense relies on the health of star running back Saquon Barkley (COVID-19, ankle). Shepard has missed four games this season due to multiple injuries and has yet to practice over the last few weeks. The 28-year-old remains day-to-to-day with a left quad strain.
