Didi Gregorius Homers In Phillies Debut
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies shortstop Didi Gregorius started his Phillies tenure in style, going 2-for-3 with a home run in an Opening Day loss vs Miami. Gregorius also walked and scored both of the Phillies runs in the game all while donning a black face-mask. Gregorius struggled through an injury-plagues season with the Yankees last year and signed a one-year 'prove it' deal with Philadelphia this past offseason. He's off to a good start and should be back to his former self who hit 25-plus homers back-to-back seasons in 2017 and 2018. Shortstop is a deep position so Gregorius isn't must-start everywhere, but he should be owned in most leagues. He'll face a tough lefty-on-lefty matchup with Caleb Smith on Saturday.
