4 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Dinelson Lamet collected a victory Monday against the Los Angeles Dodgers, pitching seven innings of one-run baseball. In a critical matchup, Lamet fanned eleven while yielding just three knocks and two walks. The Friars ace has made 10 starts, allowing three or fewer runs in each outing. He holds a pristine 2.12 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and fantastic 12.0 K/9 on the year through 59 1/3 frames. Considered a fantasy reach this offseason due to his two-pitch repertoire, the 28-year-old has exceeded the loftiest of expectations.
