4 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Dinelson Lamet struck out seven in five innings Thursday against the San Francisco Giants, settling for a no-decision. Lamet was effectively erratic, allowing one earned run but yielding four hits and four walks. He was yanked after 91 pitches and witnessed the Friars bullpen blow a 6-1 lead in the eventual victory. Lamet has performed as advertised through two starts, boasting a 1.80 ERA and 13.5 K/9 despite a 1.40 WHIP. He’ll need to harness the control to get deeper into games but is certainly usable in all fantasy formats. He lines up to face the Los Angeles Dodgers at home next Tuesday.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
