7 years agoNew England Patriots running back Dion Lewis will go up against an Eagles defense that allowed the second fewest fantasy points to opposing runners during the regular season. Other than allowing 103 yards to Ezekiel Elliott in Week 17, the Eagles have not allowed a single player more than 96 rushing yards in a game all season. They absolutely bottled up the Vikings Latavius Murray in the NFC Championship game and their front four is an elite unit. But Lewis has continued to defy expectations all season, racking up a career high 896 rushing yards and nine total touchdowns. He has been a consistent presence in a Patriots offensive system that usually operates as running back by committee. Including the playoffs, Lewis has amassed more than 60 rushing yards in a game eight times this season and presents a passing threat out of the backfield. If the Patriots can get Lewis going this Sunday, their offense will be unstoppable. Lewis has the ability to run tough between the tackles and will see the majority of the touches. Lewis also will be a threat returning kicks in the Super Bowl providing him extra opportunities to score a touchdown on the world's biggest stage.--Joey C - RotoBaller
