Diontae Johnson A WR2 For Week 1 Against Buffalo
3 years agoPittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson will kick off the 2021 season with a road matchup against the Buffalo Bills in Week 1. Johnson had a breakout season in 2020, finishing with 88 catches for 923 yards and seven touchdowns. He draws a difficult matchup against the Bills in the opener as Buffalo's pass defense allowed the 29th-fewest fantasy points per game to the wide receiver position. Johnson will also likely run roughly half of his routes against lockdown Buffalo corner Tre'Davious White, which also lowers his Week 1 projection. Fantasy gamers who drafted Johnson should not bench him but he has limited upside this weekend. Treat him as a low-end WR2 for the season opener.
