Diontae Johnson Doesn't Practice Wednesday
4 years agoPittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (back) did not practice on Wednesday. He left Sunday's game during the first quarter with a back issue and did not return. The injury was not considered serious at the time and Johnson has routinely been getting time off early in the week this season before ramping up his activity in the later practice sessions. For now, expectations are that Johnson will be able to play in Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns in what shapes up as a plus matchup for him. Cleveland's pass defense ranks 19th in the league in DVOA and is allowing the second-most fantasy points per game to the wide receiver position. Monitor Johnson's participation in practice on Thursday and Friday. If he's at least able to get in a limited session on Friday, then he is fine to trust as a low-end WR2 in fantasy contests this weekend.
