Diontae Johnson Ruled Out Against Bengals
3 years agoPittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. It is no surprise that Johnson will be inactive this week, as the injury he suffered at the end of Week 2 looked to be a cause for concern. Mike Tomlin has mentioned that this is not something that will keep him out long-term, so fantasy managers can expect him back within the next couple of weeks at most. In his absence, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Chase Claypool will see a significant boost in fantasy value. They certainly won't be short of volume, as Johnson's 22 targets through the first two weeks suggest that both could be targeted 10+ times in this one. James Washington will see some extra playing time, but as of now shouldn't be started in any formats. Both Smith-Schuster and Claypool should be able to produce lower-end WR2 numbers for fantasy managers.
