4 years agoNew York Yankees second baseman DJ LeMahieu picked up a single and walked once against the Rays on Wednesday, giving him a six-game hit streak. LeMahieu hasn’t picked up an extra-base hit since doubling twice on September 26 (the start of his hit-streak), though, contributing to his poor .661 OPS for the postseason so far. Encouragingly, LeMahieu’s lack of extra-base hits has come without a decrease in his hard-hit rate nor an increase in his ground-ball rate, and although extended time away from Yankee Stadium doesn’t help matters, fantasy managers should expect LeMahieu’s power results to improve sooner rather than later.--Sam Chinitz
