DJ LeMahieu Getting A Breather
2 years agoNew York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu is not in the starting lineup against the Cleveland Guardians on Sunday in the series finale. LeMahieu will get a rest after playing both games of Saturday's doubleheader, when he went 2-for-7 with a solo home run, three runs scored, a stolen base, three walks and one strikeout. The 33-year-old has provided fantasy managers with a .263/.364/.408 slash line with eight home runs, 32 RBI, 44 runs scored and three stolen bases in 255 at-bats as the team's primary leadoff hitter. First baseman Anthony Rizzo will hit leadoff on Sunday against Guardians right-hander Triston McKenzie. Rizzo isn't hitting for average this year, but he provides consistent pop from the left side of the plate.
