2 years agoNew York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu isn't in the team's starting lineup for the first game of a doubleheader against the Minnesota Twins and right-hander Louie Varland on Wednesday. The 33-year-old is enjoying a quality season at the plate, hitting .262 with a .358 on-base percentage and 12 home runs in 523 plate appearances this season. He'll head to the bench with Ronald Guzman hitting cleanup and starting at first base instead. In 322 plate appearances this year with New York's Triple-A affiliate, Guzman batted .260 with a .357 on-base percentage, 12 home runs, and a pair of stolen bases. Wednesday will mark his first start in the Majors this season.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
