4 years agoNew York Yankees second baseman DJ LeMahieu picked up another two hits on Sunday to win the American League batting title with a .364 batting average for the season. LeMahieu has now posted a batting average above .320 in back-to-back seasons with the Yankees, and the 32-year-old expressed his desire to remain with the Yankees despite hitting free agency following the end of the season. Staying with the Yankees should help LeMahieu maintain his fantasy value as he’s hit 75% of his 36 home runs at home over the past two seasons, and the Yankees are likely to maintain a loaded lineup that should bolster LeMahieu’s run and RBI totals. Fantasy managers should expect LeMahieu to continue hitting well through the postseason, and an offseason return to the Yankees should help his fantasy value next year.--Sam Chinitz
