3 years agoThe only realistic trade option the Seattle Seahawks have this offseason is wide receiver DK Metcalf, whose contract expires after the 2022 season. Metcalf ranks fifth in receiving touchdowns (29), 10th in receiving yards (3,170) and 17th in catches (216) since entering the league in 2019 as a second-round pick, and he doesn't turn 25 years old until December. The Seahawks wouldn't have problems finding teams that would be willing to give up a first-round pick for Metcalf. If the Seahawks traded Metcalf, they could go after one of the top-six receivers in this year's draft and save more than $3 million in cash. But Metcalf is a proven commodity, and signing him to an extension could save the team money this year.
