3 years agoSeattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf (back, foot) was a spectator at practice on Wednesday. Also missing practice on Wednesday were wide receivers Dee Eskridge (foot) and Freddie Swain (ankle). Metcalf has been managing a foot injury for most of the year, but the back ailment is new. We still expect the 24-year-old to be out there this weekend in a big divisional matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, but perhaps Metcalf's injuries are taking their toll on him. He was one of the most dominant receivers in the first half of the season, but he hasn't been the same since quarterback Russell Wilson returned from his finger injury. Still, Metcalf has seen exactly eight targets in four of the last five games, and he did manage five catches for 98 yards and two touchdowns against the Rams in Week 5. Metcalf has been a disappointment of late, but he's still a WR2 that could blow up at any time.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
