DK Metcalf Not Present For Mandatory Minicamp

2 years agoSeattle Seahawks star wide receiver DK Metcalf is not present for mandatory minicamp this week as contract talks have not yet resulted in a new deal, according to sources. Metcalf continues to rehab his surgically repaired left foot injury in Los Angeles. The 24-year-old pass-catcher is heading into the final year of his rookie deal, but he was present for the team's voluntary organized team activities. The two sides may not have a deal worked out yet, but the Seahawks fully intend on keeping Metcalf around despite trading quarterback Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos this offseason. He remains one of the most talented receivers in the game, but either Drew Lock or Geno Smith will be a big downgrade for Metcalf at QB in 2022.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
