DK Metcalf Signs Three-Year Extension With Seattle
2 years agoSeattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf is signing a three-year, $72 million contract extension on Thursday that includes $58.2 million guaranteed, according to a source. The deal also includes a $30 million signing bonus, which is the highest ever for a wide receiver in NFL history. Metcalf will be a free agent again when he's 27 years old. The 24-year-old had offseason foot surgery, but contract issues were the reason he wasn't on the practice field to begin training camp this week. Now that the contract is ironed out, we should see Metcalf practicing with the team. Metcalf is one of the most physically imposing receivers in the game, but his fantasy value has taken a hit in 2022 now that Russell Wilson is no longer in Seattle.
