D.L. Hall Continues To Pile Up K's In Triple-A
3 years agoBaltimore Orioles pitching prospect D.L. Hall went three innings and allowed three hits, two runs, two walks and struck out six over three innings in a loss on Tuesday for Triple-A Norfolk. The lefty suffered an elbow injury last year and opened 2022 with one start in High-A and another in Double-A, before being promoted to Triple-A and making his last five starts there. The Orioles have been cautious with the 23-year-old and he has yet to go past four innings in any start this year. For the season the former first-round draft pick is 0-2 with a 4.07 ERA and 38 strikeouts in 24 1/3 innings to go along with a 1.23 WHIP. Hall has shown an ability to rack up strikeouts and just needs to continue to build more strength in his elbow. Already on the 40-man roster, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Hall get the call at some point in 2022. He should be monitored in redraft leagues, but dynasty managers shouldn't wait too much longer to snag the big lefty with high strikeout upside.
