3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers middle infielder Gavin Lux (hamstring) has been activated from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday. Lux has been sidelined since July 19 with a left hamstring strain. With Lux sidelined, shortstop Corey Seager returned from the injured list and the club acquired middle infielder Trea Turner to play second base. Lux was struggling on the year with a .227 batting average to go along with six home runs and 37 RBI and his role moving forward will be that of a bench player. Between his struggles earlier in the year and his lack of opportunities moving forward, Lux can remain on the waiver wire. In a flurry of moves, the Dodgers also recalled relief pitcher Evan Phillips and optioned pitchers Andre Jackson and Conner Green.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
