6 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers and starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw extended the deadline on his 2019 option decision until Friday at 4 pm ET. Kershaw has been expected to opt out of his 2019 option, but the Dodgers are now expected to sign him to a short-term contract extension to keep him around for at least another year or two. Despite a drop in velocity and strikeouts this year, Kershaw remained one of the best pitchers in the majors and should be again next year, barring injuries. No matter where he ends up, Kershaw will once again be one of the first pitchers off the board in fantasy drafts in the early rounds.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
