Dodgers Nearing Deal To Acquire Danny Duffy
3 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Danny Duffy is on the verge of being traded to the Dodgers, according to Mark Feinsand of MLB Network. Feinsand reports that while Duffy has 10-5 rights, he is expected to approve a trade to the Dodgers. The Royals are expected to receive a player to be named later to complete this deal. Duffy is 4-3 with a 2.51 ERA, 1.213 WHIP and 25.8 percent strikeout rate over 61 innings of work this season. He landed on the injured list just over a week ago with a flexor strain in his forearm, but he is expected to return by the end of August. Duffy will be a pitcher that managers want to consider acquiring and stashing, as he will assuredly get a boost in value playing in Los Angeles.
