3 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers selected prep starter Maddux Bruns with the 29th and final pick in the first round of the 2021 amateur draft. The southpaw was not ranked by Rotoballer among the top available talent but MLB.com had him ranked 49th overall. Bruns has some of the best stuff in the draft from the left side and can get his heater up into the 95-98 mph range. He also flashes two above-average breaking balls. Unfortunately, he often doesn't know where the ball is going and he struggles with both his command and his control.
