6 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers have traded minor league infielder Jesus Manuel Valdez to the Pittsburgh Pirates for third/first baseman David Freese, per the Dodgers Twitter feed. The 35-year-old veteran had posted a .282/.336/.444 slash line with nine home runs and 42 RBI in 265 plate appearances this season for the Pirates. The Dodgers are set at the corners as is, so Freese will serve as a bench player.
