2 years agoThe Miami Dolphins cut wide receiver Preston Williams on Tuesday, according to a source. Williams complained his lack of a role earlier this summer, but he was never realistically going to see much playing time after Miami added wideouts Tyreek Hill and Cedrick Wilson Jr. in the offseason. Multiple teams reached out over the last few weeks about a possible trade for Williams, but now they'll be able to pick him up for free on the open market. The 25-year-old caught 56 of 111 targets for 787 yards and seven touchdowns in his three seasons with the Dolphins, but he had trouble staying on the field, playing in only 24 games (17 starts) over a three-year span.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
