Dolphins Deny Mike Gesicki Trade Rumors
2 years agoMiami Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said the team received calls from two teams about tight end Mike Gesicki, but the Dolphins were not shopping him. Gesicki's fantasy stock has fallen considerably this summer with rumors that he hasn't been a great fit in new head coach Mike McDaniel's offensive scheme. Apparently the Dolphins want to use the 26-year-old more as a blocker, which isn't great news for his fantasy ceiling in an offense that added target hog Tyreek Hill in the offseason. Gesicki should be the No. 3 aerial option for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa behind Hill and second-year wideout Jaylen Waddle. If the Dolphins involve Durham Smythe more alongside Gesicki, it will be hard to trust Gesicki as a TE1 in fantasy.
