Dolphins Reach Agreement With Chase Edmonds
3 years agoThe Miami Dolphins and free-agent running back Chase Edmonds agreed on a two-year, $12.6 million deal on Monday that includes $6.1 million guaranteed, according to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. Edmonds shared the backfield with James Conner, who was much more productive, in 2021. He finished with 592 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 116 carries (5.1 yards per carry) and added 43 receptions on 53 targets for 311 receiving yards. The Dolphins have Myles Gaskin, Salvon Ahmed and Duke Johnson in their backfield for 2022, but if healthy, Edmonds figures to take over primary ball-carrying duties, which could make him more attractive as an RB2 with his new team.
