Dom Nunez Drives In Two Runs In Series Finale
3 years agoColorado Rockies catcher Dom Nunez went 1-for-3 with a double, two RBI, one run scored, a walk, and two strikeouts in a 5-4 loss to the Diamondbacks on Sunday. Nunez put the Rockies on the board in the top of the second inning with a two-run double. He would go on to score later that inning. He also reached base later in the contest with a walk. The 26-year-old backstop got off to a hot start back in April but fell off a cliff the rest of the way. He was outperformed by Elias Diaz for most of the season and finished with a .189 batting average, .692 OPS, 10 home runs, and 33 RBI over 228 at-bats.
