4 years agoColorado Rockies catcher Dom Nunez went 2-for-4 with an RBI triple, two runs scored, a walk and two strikeouts in a 12-2 blowout win over the Phillies on Sunday. Nunez smacked an RBI triple, his second of the season, off Spencer Howard to plate Josh Fuentes in the bottom of the fifth inning. He also singled and reached base with a walk in the game. The 26-year-old backstop is up to a .233/.298/.628 slash line to go along with four home runs and 10 RBI over 43 at-bats this season. His rate stats are nothing special, but he does have some pop in his bat and has outplayed fellow catcher Elias Diaz up to this point in the season.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
