3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Domingo German logged a short outing in a no-decision against the Los Angeles Angels Wednesday. German lasted just three innings, allowing three runs on three hits while issuing a trio of walks. He struck out just two batters. German's control was spotty, as he needed 72 pitches to navigate three frames and threw just 43 of them for strikes. The veteran righty was done in by a rain delay, as manager Aaron Boone opted to keep him on the bench when play resumed, though it didn't look like he was trending towards a strong outing regardless. German will look to July to turn things around after pitching to a 7.27 ERA in six winless June starts. He'll get to face a strikeout-prone Seattle Mariners' team on July 6.--Tim Capurso
