2 years agoNew York Yankees right-hander Domingo German (shoulder) has been activated from the 60-day injured list and will start Game 2 on Thursday against the Houston Astros. Left-hander Jordan Montgomery will toe the rubber in Game 1 to kick off the second half of the season. German will be making his 2022 season debut after dealing with shoulder issues since mid-March. The 29-year-old Dominican was excellent in five minor league rehab starts for Single-A Tampa, Double-A Somerset and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, allowing one earned run on nine hits while striking out 11 and walking just one in 20 1/3 innings. German should remain in the rotation until Luis Severino (lat) is able to return, but he'll be an extremely risky fantasy streamer on Thursday in his debut against the first-place Astros.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
