3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Domingo German (tooth) put forth a solid effort out of the bullpen in Wednesday's win over the Seattle Mariners. German's emergency root canal relegated him to bullpen duty, though he produced some solid strikeout numbers, despite surrendering a three-run homer. Despite allowing at least three runs in each of his last five appearances, German will remain in the starting rotation after the All-Star break, per manager Aaron Boone. His expected statistics say that his 4.33 ERA has been largely deserved so far, which doesn't exactly give a vote of confidence towards a better second-half performance.--Tim Capurso
