4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Domingo German pitched well again on Wednesday, shutting the Pirates out over three innings with three strikeouts. German is fending off fellow Yankees starting pitcher Deivi Garcia for the team's fifth starting pitcher job, and German's strong spring performance so far (only two hits allowed over five innings with seven strikeouts) likely doesn't hurt his case. Barring an injury or a collapse from German over the rest of the spring, fantasy managers should expect German to start the season in the rotation with Garcia on the outside looking in.--Sam Chinitz
