6 years agoAfter a tremendous start with his new team, Seattle Mariners outfielder Domingo Santana has inevitably hit a cold streak over the last 10 days. After going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts on Saturday, Santana has seen his average fall from .301 to .268 since April 25. Santana's K-rate is at an alarming 34.6% rate in this span as American League pitching has undoubtedly found a hole in his swing. Santana has a 31.2% K% for his career, so it's not a total shock that his plate discipline has taken a hit of late, but it's a disappointment for owners who had high hopes for the 26-year-old after the first month of action. Santana has six homers and 30 RBI on the year and should be able to contribute to these categories throughout the year despite his average seemingly falling off a cliff.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
