Dominic Smith Belts His Fourth Homer

3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Dominic Smith went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in the Mets 6-2 win over the San Diego Padres on Sunday. The homer was Smith's fourth of the season and his second on the Mets current road trip. Much like the rest of the Mets, after a rough start to the season, Smith's bat has begun to heat up. He has slashed .400/.519/.800 with two HR, four RBI, and two stolen bases over his last seven games, showing shades of his breakout 2020 campaign. Smith's buy-low window may be beginning to close. Managers looking to add his bat which was initially projected to return 30-plus HR prior to the season may wish to do so soon if this hot streak is a precursor of things to come.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
